It's the most wonderful time of the year! Yes, its La Roche-Posay's annual end of year party and they had a couple of new launches to share with us all too. As usual, the team put on a magical evening with a beautiful setting in Carousel that looked just like Narnia! There were christmas trees and all the fake snow you could ever wish for!

As soon as we walked down the stairs, into the winter wonderland, you couldn't help but feel festive! There was lots of yummy canapes floating about and delicious, but very strong, espresso martinis. There was a little photo corner nestled in some christmas trees, that printed out as Polaroids. You could have a skin consultation with a top dermatologist too. And there was even a post box where you could send a letter off to Santa, requesting your favourite La Roche-Posay product!

Now for the main event, the exciting new launches! The first of the two is the La Roche-Posay Effaclar BB Blur. This is an oil-absorbing base that creates flawless looking skin. It's been deigned by dermatologists specifically for oily skin. The Blur Technology instantly absorbs oil, blurs fine lines and wrinkles, smoothes skin texture, softens skin and scatters light to improve the overall look of the skin. And the BB Creams cover blemishes, blurs marks, masks redness, minimises the look of pores and evens skin. It contains Airlicium, which absorbs three times its weight in oil, so this helps mattify the skin and give it a smooth appearance. The Perlite protects against humidity to soak up sweat and minimise shine. And the BB Pigments work to colour match to your natural skin tone, to give a natural, flawless looking finish. I think it's safe to say this product definitely packs a punch! I'm very excited to thoroughly test this out as I have very oily skin and this sounds like it could work wonders for my skin!

The second new launch is the La Roche-Posay Hydraphase Intense Serum. This is a soothing daily serum that infuses water into the skin for immediate hydration. It contains Fragmented Hyaluronic Acid, which is sixteen times smaller than normal hyaluronic acid, so penetrates the skin twice as deeply to plump the skin and provide longer-lasting hydration. Arginine & Serine are naturally occurring amino acids found in the skin and they help to capture water and enhance the action of the hyaluronic acid. And lastly, La Roche Posay Thermal Spring Water is included in it's highest concentration to hydrate and soothe skin. This is another very clever product, that I'm certain my skin is going to very thankful for this Winter!

A huge thank you to all of the La Roche-Posay team for putting on such a magical event and for gifting me the exciting new launches along with a bonus bottle of my beloved Serozinc! Keep your eyes peeled for full reviews on both products when I've fully tested them out. Both of these products will be available in January 2016. The Effaclar BB Blur comes in two shades, fair/light or light/medium and will retail at £16.50. The Hydraphase Intense Serum will retail at £19.50.

L'Oreal Infallible Matte 24 Hour Foundation, 10 Porcelain - £7.99
For years I wore the dreaded Maybelline Dream Matte Mouse (shudder) and after I finally saw the light and stopped slathering that stuff on my face, I swore off high street foundations for good. That was until the hype around this stuff got pretty hard to ignore. Having oily skin and a slight yellow undertone to my skin, no cheap foundation offerings usually work for me, but I honestly can't get over how brilliant this one is. It kind of reminds me of my beloved Estee Lauder Double Wear, but at a fraction of the price! It applies pretty easily, sinks into the skin and boy does it stick around! It stays looking fresh for so long and it takes hours for even the tiniest bit of shine to peak through. I hope they add a few more colours to the range, as I'm in between this shade and the next one up.

This is another little gem from L'Oreal that I'm again pretty surprised I like. This is a pretty silicony feeling primer, which L'Oreal call a 'gel base'. I've often struggled with other silicone primers like Maybelline Baby Skin, which made my skin look almost wet. But once this one is applied, it quickly sinks in and the foundation glides over the top. It makes my pores a lot less visible and stops the foundation from settling into them. This primer does an incredible job of keeping oil at bay and keeping the foundation on the skin. It also makes it last hours without even needing to powder.

Lush Rose Jam Shower Gel - £4.95
I don't think I need to talk about this one too much! This, next to Snow Fairy, is my favourite festive shower gel from Lush. Usually, I'm not a fan of rose scents at all, but this definitely leans more towatds the scent of jam, than roses. I think it's because it's got the vanilla in there too, which makes it sweeter. It leaves your skin clean and soft and the scent lingers all day too, which I personally love.

Mac Lip Pencil, Vino - £12.50 & Witches Brew Lip Stick - £???
I've professed my love for this lip liner in a post here, so of course I had to include it in my favourites! Lip liners definitely had their moment this year and although it took me a while, I'm firmly on the bandwagon now. They make lipstick last longer, make the colour more vibrant and give a sharp, precise finish. This one is a deep plum shade, which I love and is the perfect Autumn/Winter shade. I'm sure by now your all sick of me harping on about this lip stick! It's an oldie but a goodie that I always whip out at this time of year. Again its a dark plum/berry colour. It's pretty matte and is so long lasting, especially when paired with the Mac Lip Liner. I'm going to be so devastated when this runs out, I have no idea what brand it is and I can't find it online anywhere!

Soap and Glory One Heck Of A Blot Powder - £12.00
This powder is another cult classic that I hadn't invested in until recently. And I have to say, this is probably the best setting powder I've ever used. Now that's saying something considering how oily my skin is. This stuff doesn't cake on the skin or sit on top of it and it also doesn't makes it look flat. It lasts so well for hours and when oil does start to show through, the skin looks glowy, rather than sweaty.

La Roche-Posay Effaclar A.I. - £9.50
And last, but by no means least is this amazing spot treatment from La Roche Posay. You all know by now that they're one of my holy grail brands.  This stuff is so incredible and very different from traditional spot treatments. It's not at all drying and works very quickly. It either brings a spot to a head, or helps it shrink away. It also minimizes scaring and any marks left behind by breakouts.

What have you been loving this month? Have you tried an of the products I've mentioned? Do you have any recommendations?

It's begging to look a lot like Christmas! It's that magical time of year again, when Lush bring out all their festive goodies and we get together at Lush Oxford to indulge in all things merry and bright! I've said it many times before, but the whole Lush Christmas range are my absolute favorites. They're all the best smells rolled into one and the new products that have been added this year as just as good.

As usual, as soon as we arrived the guys that work in the store were so welcoming and had lots of fun things planned for us to do. I unfortunately missed out on a few things as i had to leave early, but the evening well and truly put me in the festive spirit! We had a look at all the lovely new launches for this Christmas, like the Bar Humbug Bubble Bar, which is my new personal favourite. It smells like sweet licorice and it's such a pretty purple colour. The Christingle Body Conditioner is also a winner too, it smells like toothpaste in the best way! It's so softening and gives your skin that tingling sensation that really wakes you up. The last new product I'm in love with is the Magic Of Christmas Reusable Bubble Bar, the handle is a cinnamon stick, I mean what more could you wish for!? It's smells like cinnamon, cloves and all the best smells of christmas! And, this year we got to make our very own Butter Bear Bath Bomb from scratch! He's one of my favourites too and he's so cute! He makes silky soft bath water, that smells like chocolate and leaves your skin super mosturised after.

We also did something a little special with the Yoga Bomb Bath Bomb. This product is centered around creating a peaceful environment in the bath, so we mixed it with some dry ice, making it fizz up amazingly and we each popped a bubble to send a thought of peace out into the world during these difficult times. I thought that was such a thoughtful and kind idea of the team to come up with.

The guys were so generous as always and gave us a little goodie bag to take home, They kindly gifted us Santa's Belly Shower Jelly which has tiny little stars in it and smells like mulled wine, Bar Humbug Bubble Bar, my new favourite and Golden Wonder Bath Bomb which is a classic. It looks so sparkly and fun and has a surprise inside! I can't thank the staff at Lush Oxford enough, they're always so much fun and always put on an amazing evening. I thoroughly enjoyed myself and its always so much fun to hang out with fellow bloggers. I also picked up a few other bits that I'm sure will be making an appearance on the blog soon!

Can you tell that I am well and truly obsessing over berry-tones at the moment? This colour is so beautiful and is a perfect match to my current favourite lipstick combination too, bonus! There is so much glitter packed in there and they twinkle so much when they catch the light. I've also received so many compliments about how unique they are too, which is always nice to hear. I think I've said it before, but I think these may be my favourite nails I've had this year. I'll definitely be getting something festive on them in time for christmas though! Do you have your nails done? Do you have any festive nail art ideas?
