MAX FACTOR | CREME PUFF POWDER

i've never really tried any max factor products before this one, i'm not sure why really! that said, when i was a work a few weeks ago i was serving a lady and her skin looked a-m-a-zing! it was flawless, blemish free and matte, but not cakey. all the thing i look for in a powder to help hide my oily skin. so when she told me that it was a high street make up product, i had to go out and get it.

so i went in search for this and when i found it and swatched the tester, i wasn't particularly bowled over if i'm honest. all of the colours looked very orange, including this one that is actually translucent. it also felt very 'powdery' like it would be heavy and look like talcum powder on the skin. but i brought it as i think you always need to try products at home, with the rest of your make up.
however, i was very pleasantly surprised by this. when i put it on i couldn't get over how amazing it made my skin look, like an instagram filter for your face! it was very light and had the affect of blurring any blemishes or redness in the skin and it was nicely matte without washing me out and making me look dull. it just gives you this soft-focus, healthy look! it also stayed matte for an extremely long time, even on my oily skin, particularly my t-zone, i didn't touch up once! this teamed with the la roche-posay effaclar matt moisturiser and the urban decay de-slick make up setting spray (review coming soon) are a match made in heaven!
my only complaint about this is the packaging is a little flimsy and the application 'sponge' that comes with this is possibly the worst i've ever seen and i'd certainly never use it! i always use a  brush to apply powder anyway, i think it gives a more natural finish and doesn't just smudge the make up around your face.

my first ever max factor product is a winner, yay! i'm really happy i've discovered this affordable little product. i think it'll be a staple in my make up arsenal from now on! have you tried any max factor products before? have you got any favorites or recommendations?
