COLLECTION | WORK THE COLOUR NUDE EYE PALETTE

collection work the colour nude eye palette - £3.99
i'd been eyeing this up for a while and as soon as i saw it pop up on nouvelle daily i knew i had to have it. i'm also seriously lacking eye shadow palettes in my collection, so i thought, hey, start small, purse friendly and work your way up! these also has the most beautiful and flattering range of easy to wear and work with shades. they're all very neutral, there's two or three mattes in there along with some pretty shimmers, meaning there's an endless array of looks you can create! i must say, for a high street offering, this little beauty is quite impressive!

first of all, lets talk about the handy little step-by-step guide on the back that talks you through where to put which colour. they shadows are numbered from one to three, one being your base shadow shade, two your blending colour and three your outer corner defining colour. all this makes this palette easy as pie for a novice to use or just as simple for a palette conciser. also, you don't even have to use them in that order, you could use them individually for an every day look, or smoke it out for an evening look.

secondly, look how beautiful these colours are! some are slightly more pigmented than others, but they build up easily, with no creasing or fallout. they apply very smoothly, they're very creamy and really are very flattering colours that will work on a lot of skin tones with a lot of different looks. i used this on a night out combining number three from the top row, number one and two from the middle row, paired with some winged eyeliner and falsies and it looked killer! i've also taken to just sweeping number one from the second row all over the lid on a daily basis, i'm getting so much use out of this palette!

lastly there's the pink, cream formula highlighter. this is also an impressive little product. once applied to the skin and dabbed into the brown bone or inner corner, it turns into a pretty, very pale, very subtle highlight shade. it just adds that finishing touch to any eye make up look. you could probably even use this on the cheekbones too. i don't always use a highlight because i often find that they're too discoball-esque, but this one is right up my street.

collection have really pulled it out the bag with this one, it's a really amazing little palette that doesn't break the bank! your not scared to use it daily, for fear of it running out and having to pay a fortune to replace it. it's so versatile, excellent quality and also the perfect size prefect to travel with. i can't recommend it enough! have you tried this palette? do you have any collection recommendations?

  1. I love the look of this pallette - I will definitely be taking a look at it next time in Boots or Superdrug! My favourite Collection product is the felt tip eyeliner, which I reviewed on my blog recently :)xx

  3. I bought this not too long ago and I love it! I have never really wore eyeshadow before and is perfect for a beginner like me, because like you said, it doesn't really break the bank and has all the colours you need. Lovely review.
