i had a little hallelujah moment in my local superdrug when i finally got my hands on this. i literally had to hold in my squeaks of excitement! i have been trying to hunt this little beauty down for months and i mean months. i'd been to so many superdrug's and my local one finally got a mua stand and there it was! this has become a somewhat 'cult' product amongst beauty bloggers, as it's been dubbed the drugstore dupe for mac's mineralize skin finish in soft and gentle. in my opinion the pattern on it reminds me of mac's extra dimension bronzer form their newest range, the alluring aquatic collection (which s all very pretty and i'm already eyeing it up). anyway, back to the main event!

this claims to be a 'lightweight powder that transforms your complexion with luminescent shimmer' and that it does! i've said before i'm not the biggest fan of highlighters because i sometimes find them too sparkly, too in your face and not daylight friendly. but i was drawn to this one as its very subtle and can be built up, without looking over the top, to achieve the look you want. it just adds a nice well-rested, healthy glow to your face and makes your make up look that little bit more polished and put together. it doesn't feel heavy on the skin and it doesn't sit on top of your foundation, it blends well with it, so there's no obvious line along your cheekbones.

as you can see it's a beautiful champagne pink colour, with only very slight hints of shimmer in it. it's like this highlighter was made for me! it looks so pretty on the skin and is suitable for both daytime and evening looks. i'm not a blush fan either, so its so nice to find a product that can add some life to my cheeks. it really is so subtle, but just adds that little something extra to any make up look. the packaging is also quite sturdy, so hopefully it wont crack, damaging the product inside.

i haven't put this product down since it finally came into my life and i really really love it. mua have produced an amazing quality product, but for the purse-friendly price of only £3.00. there's also a lot of product in the pan too, so i can see it lasting a long time. i can't recommend this enough, particularly if your just starting to get to grips with contouring and highlighting, it's a perfect product for beginners or pros alike. have you tried this product? do you have any mua recommendations?
