RIMMEL | STAY MATTE PRIMER

for an oily skinned girl like myself, a primer is essential to help keep oil and bay and set my make up in place all day. i've tried my fair share of primers over the years, both high street and high end, but this one instantly caught my eye because it's prime objective is to keep the skin matte, which is just what i need. rimmel is s brand i already really like, they're stay matte powder is brilliant and the kate moss lipsticks are my absolute favourite. i had high hopes for this and it hasn't disappointed.

firstly, you get a hell of a lot of product for your money. this is a 30ml tube of primer, but you only need to use the tiniest bit at a time, so this'll last a long time. i also like that it's in a tube so you can control how much you use. this sinks into the skin very quickly and doesn't leave any slippy or greasy feeling on the skin. your skin is left feeling velvety soft and matte. it doesn't sink into pores or emphasize them either, it just smooths everything out. make up applies very easily over this and sets down to an almost flawless finish. although it makes the skin matte, it's not a flat, chalky look, your make up just looks well finished.

although it's a white cream, it doesn't leave any white cast on the skin, it just melts in and is invisible. this is one of the best primers i've found for keeping oil at bay. it makes my make up last a good two to three hours longer without any oil break through at all. when i did get a bit shiny, it was significantly less than usual. it also helped my make up last longer in general. it hasn't broken me out or upset my skin in any other way which is a bonus too. this primer would suit all skin types i think, it doesn't strip or dry the skin, it just makes an excellent base for make up application and it's also fragrance free.

this i an absolute winner for me and it's so nice to find a primer on the high street that works so well and doesn't break the bank either. this is now an essential in my make up collection and i can't recommend it enough! have you tried this primer? do you have an primer recommendations?
