LUSH | D'FLUFF STRAWBERRY SHAVING SOAP

the first time i heard whispers about this little beauty, i was actually in a lush store in vegas! i got chatting to one of the sales girls, she was fascinated with my accent and wanted to know what the lush stores in the uk were like. anyway, she ended up telling me about this new shaving cream that was soon to be released and i was so excited about it. the main thing that caught my attention about it was one, it's specifically designed for women, both with it's scent and where you can use it, if you know what i'm saying and two, its full of natural, skin kind ingredients, what a dream product!

i have to make a beauty confession, when it comes to shaving, i'm pretty lazy and slap dash about it. and as i've said before, before i was kindly gifted the wilkinson sword hydro silk travel razor, i was very guilty of using cheap, nasty disposable razors. but the thought of finding a product that makes the boring chore of shaving your legs, (and, ahem, other places), that little bit more luxurious, gets the thumbs up from me. and the fact that this can be used in multiple places and can be used as a body wash if need be, makes it an even more brilliant product. i also like that this comes in a pot, rather than an aerosol can, because you can control the amount you use a lot easier.

it's quite solid in consistency, but once you begin to massage it into damp skin, it quickly breaks down to a silky smooth soap. it instantly feels very moisturising and replenishing on the skin, this is all thanks to the cocoa butter and rose absolute in it. this stuff makes shaving a pleasure and completely hassle free, the razor just glides over the skin without scratching or aggravating it. it also makes the whole process a lot quicker. and then of course, there's the delicious scent, oh my, like fresh strawberries, it's so refreshing. once the excess is washed away your skin is left feeling thoroughly de-fluffed, soft and hydrated. the silky feeling stays around for a long time, as does the fruity scent, and this hasn't caused any ingrown hairs, or dry patches.

if you find shaving drys your skin out or is easily irritated, i think you'd really enjoy using this product. it injects a lot of moisture into the skin and makes the razor glide over your skin like a dream. it really does make shaving a bit more glamorous and i don't even need to use a body lotion on my legs after using this. i'm not a hundred percent sure whether i'll repurchase this as i don't necessarily need it in my routine, but none the less it's a lovely product an thoroughly enjoyable to use. have you tried this shaving soap? have you tried any other lush shaving soaps?
