LUSH LIP SCRUBS

lush lip scrubs, bubblegum & santa's lip scrub - £5.50
as well all know by now, lush is one of my favorite brands and i love so many of their products. they're bath stuff is obviously top notch, i love a variety of their shampoos and their face mask are fab. there's one thing they offer that is particularly hard to get hold of in other stores and that's lip scrubs. they offer a range of flavours including popcorn and mint julips and they bring out limited addition ones for christmas and valentines day. the santa's lip scrub is so yummy, it smells like cola bottles and has little hearts sprinkled throughout it.

i have no idea why lip scrubs are so hard to come buy in places like boots and superdrug. when i was in vegas, i came across them a lot and fresh had a great selection in sephora. they were a lot more expensive than the offerings from lush and i think you get a lot more bang for your buck! and an added bonus is that the lush ones are pretty much all natural, they're just made up of caster sugar and a selection of natural oils, like jojoba and coconut oil. as the names suggest, they all have unique scents. the bubblegum one is very sweet and reminds me of snow fairy. the popcorn one has a very buttery scent that really does resemble real popcorn! mint julips is very fresh with a sweet undertone of vanilla. and santa's lip scrub has very a true to life fizzy cola bottle smell, i think this ones my favourite!
these little pots really do pack a punch when it comes to exfoliating your lips. you just need a small amount on your finger, then just massage it into the lips. it's very gentle and doesn't drag or pull at the delicate skin of your lips. and of course they taste and smell delicious! you can either lick it off your lips because it's all natural or your can rinse it off with warm water. your lips are left feeling soft, supple and flake-free. i use these on a regular basis and they really help keep my lips in tip top condition, particularly during the colder winter months. these are also a useful tool in my stash as i always wear matte lipstick, so i need my lips to be smooth, so my lippy applies easily and evenly.

i think everybody should have one of these scrubs, they really do help the condition of your lips and lipstick/liner/gloss applies so nicely if you've used this first. it'll also save your lips if they're particularly chapped and dry, just gently use this, then apply a moisturising lip balm and it helps them recover. i'm quite intrigued to attempt to make my own lip scrub, i've seen people do it before and it looks pretty simple! if it goes well, i'll put a post together about it. have you tried any of the lush lip scrubs? do you have any lip scrub recommendations?

  1. We haven't tried an actual lip scrub before. We usually just use a gentle exfoliator that we already have and run it gently over our lips. We've heard wonders about the lush lip scrubs though, so we meant have tp pick one up!
